I have had a great post football career living in Edmond, Oklahoma for the last 30 yrs. My wife Trish and I have raised 3 great kids. John Ryan, Nikki and Chelsea is the youngest. All my kids are grown and went to the same Elementary, Middle, and High Schools.
After Graduation all attended The University of Oklahoma (of course). We are all big Sooner fans and season ticket holders. My youngest daughter Chelsea ran track at OU and met her husband while attending school. He played football for OU and was drafted 4th overall by the Philadelphia Eagles. His name is Lane Johnson. They have two kids and one on the way, and my son has one beautiful daughter. He and his wife Stephanie live in Seattle.
My middle daughter is a Middle School teacher in Edmond. I have been with the same company The Baker Group for 26 years. I am a registered Principal in the securities industry. Our Firm is a institutional investment company with a primary focus on Community Banks Asset/Liability and investment needs with client banks all over the country.
The thing I remember most about Pittsburgh just how nice and passionate the people were. Great fans and Team ownership. I got back last year to the New England game as a guest of Tunch Ilkin. He and I along with Craig Wolfley were all members of the 1980 draft class. I had great teammates while with the Steelers with hard work and laughter always a mainstay. We still keep in touch periodically and while most of my time is spent following my son-in-law, we still enjoy watching the Steelers all season.
